Reviews and Praise from My Readers:

“A Remembered Life”

"A

“‘A Remembered Life’ gives a multidimensional profile of a multidimensional man. The softness and tenderness of the recollections, seasoned judiciously with affectionate humour, capture the many ways Ray’s special qualities blended into the dynamics of someone who commanded both respect and love. The book speaks both for the man who inspired and nourished love in those close to him and for the wise and faithful pastor inspired and nourished by the love he had for his God and his church. It brings him to life and makes me alternately want to hug him and listen very carefully to what he has to say.

The book speaks for him and lets him speak himself to us who read it, a rare combination of qualities in a memoir.” (Nicholas Lee, professor emeritus of Russian, University of Colorado-Boulder; parishioner at St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church since 1965.)

“Thanks so much for sharing your book with me. You are inspiring me to get writing a book about my Mom and helping her through the last few years.” (Tracy Brennan, International Baccalaureate teacher, Boulder, Colorado).

“It was profoundly touching for many reasons…Wonderful to learn about his and his work including the value he brought to Hospice and others I need, spiritually and with great human compassion. Kudos to you for making this available to the people who so need the information.) (M. Schirmer, Boulder, CO)

“I was delighted to receive ‘A Remembered Life,’ and I must say you had me at the cover. I was and am charmed by the art, photo and story about those two outdoor chairs huddled around the fireplace. I can only imagine the chuckles and tears and stories that you and Ray shared from those chairs. I appreciate your comment later that you could share your tales with him without judgment. I think we can all relate to the sigh of relief that comers along with being accepted and loved just as we are — no editing required.” (C. Boyd, retired English teacher, La Verne, CA)

“WOW! OMG!!! You have created a beautifully loving tribute to an amazing man. When it arrived yesterday, I waited to read it until the evening and even had a small glass of scotch in tribute to you and to Ray. What a treasure for those who knew him well and for those of us like myself who are less fortunate and now realize what they missed, you have brought forth something quite remarkable.” (A. Thompson, retired educator, Sierra Madre, CA)
